Floriworld: unique, magical and beautiful!29 October 2018
A team of developers and architects is working behind the screens on the unique and magical experience where visitors will be able to discover and experience the positive effects of flowers and plants on quality of life. Where are we now? And what are we working towards? Director Daniëlle Santen and inventor and investor Bert Kranendonk tell us about Floriworld.

The concept has been finalized, the logo is almost ready. Construction will start in early 2019 and we will be opening our doors during the first quarter of 2020. Floriworld is an experience not yet globally known in our sector. We take national and international visitors into a special world full of color and with a diversity of scents and shapes.
The experience: a sneak preview
Buy a ticket for Floriworld and you'll receive an experience that includes different shows and attractions. At the end of the experience, for example, visitors will have the opportunity to buy real flowers on the Dutch auction clock. They will be able either to keep the flowers they've bought, give them to someone else or donate them to a nursing home, for example. Customers will be encouraged to give the flowers (as a gift), as this brings joy to both the giver and the recipient.
During the experience, visitors can consciously indicate their preferences. We will then translate this information into a personal flowers and plants ID, which will help visitors to buy products that bring them joy.
What do we do with the date?
Visitor details will be sent to Bloemenbureau Holland - An organization that analyses the data before sharing the results with everyone in the sector. This will give us a much greater understanding of what people want, as well as allowing us to test how visitors respond to colors and trends, for example.
At Floriworld, partners from the sector will be given the opportunity to showcase their products and developments, which is why we work with themed weeks that focus on either a flower, a plant or an innovation.
Knowledge and innovation for young people
The Floriworld Foundation for Knowledge, Education and Innovation (Stichting Kennis, Educatie en Innovatie Floriworld) has developed a separate program for children and young people aged 4 to 24. The aim of this program is to introduce this target group to work opportunities in the floriculture sector.
