Improving the quality of CC shelves together02 November 2018
In order to improve the quality of the pool, Container Centralen has a 40% repair quota for CC container shelves. This calls for stricter checks at our CC depots.
A strong, well functioning pool of CC shelves supports the logistic chain of our floriculture industry. In order to improve the quality of the pool, Container Centralen has lowered its repair quota for CC shelves to 40%, as of 1 March 2018.
The introduction calls for stricter checks at our CC depots - by you - but also by us! The collection and distribution procedures of CC containers and shelves in our depots remain unchanged.
Collection and distribution at our CC depots
You can collect and submit CC material at each Royal FloraHolland location. We perform a visual quality check of the collected CC material (which may lead to rejection of the material) In addition, while collecting the CC undercarriages, we verify the authenticity of the label.
Check your CC shelves upon receipt
In using our services, you are responsible for checking the CC material that you collect. In order to prevent later misunderstandings, we advise you to perform this check (or have it done) before accepting the CC material. Upon receipt, you approve of the quality of the CC material supplied to you. This also applies if someone else collects the material for you. A special procedure applies for the submission of defective material. Defective CC containers and shelves are submitted or exchanged at a Container Centralen depot.
Repair quota explanation
The repair quote makes the pool system fairer to all users and improves the quality of the pool. The quota corresponds to the percentage of shelves in your contract with Container Centralen, which can be submitted for repair per year. It is valid from 1 March until the end of February. If you exceed the quota, you can contact Container Centralen for suitable advice.
